what is savi
Students come from all ten Augustinian secondary schools to attend the Student Augustinian Values Institute (SAVI). They deepen their understanding of the core values of truth, unity and love through an experience of faith, friendship and service. SAVI students continue to find creative ways to live and promote these values back at Austin. Some of the programs that originated with our SAVI students are: the House structure, Blazer ceremony, lunch prayer over P.A., various spirit week ideas, and more.
Attending savi
This year SAVI has been postponed. SAVI Members will make presentations to all sophomore and junior seminar classes about six months prior to the trip. The presentations will highlight all aspects of SAVI, application process and deadline for applications. After the presentations are completed, applications will be available online and in the Campus Ministry Office, Room 19. Students who would like to be considered to attend SAVI must complete an application, have recommendations and engage in an interview. All applications will be reviewed by the SAVI faculty moderators.
What is avi
Faculty, staff, board members and parents come from all ten Augustinian secondary schools to attend the Augustinian Values Institute (AVI) annually. They deepen their understanding of the core values of truth, unity and love through an experience of faith, friendship and reflection. AVI is an intense yet invigorating experience that allows the adults leading and living the life of an Augustinian school community to understand, connect, and build upon existing concepts.
