Minds to Lead – Hands to Serve – Hearts to Love

Requirements

Content, creativity, and critical thinking are the hallmarks of an Austin education, where the pursuit of truth goes beyond the classroom. Committed to developing the whole person, students learn cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy and self-control. These qualities nurture academic success and give students the ability to lead balanced, fulfilling, and successful lives in a global society.

Austin students enroll in seven or eight courses each semester. Courses are held in an alternate day block schedule (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) with all classes meeting on Fridays. The average class size is 18 students with a teacher to student ratio of 1:5. A selection of Honors, Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, academic support programs, and on-line courses extend academics further. As a 1:1 learning environment, students use their personal computer to connect digitally to research, create, and collaborate.

We encourage our students to go beyond STEM and embrace a holistic education philosophy that also embraces the arts for STEAM. In our pursuit of Truth and our commitment to our faith, our religion and faith initiatives are the foundation for all courses from science to English, the arts, and history.
