At Austin You are a Name, not a Number. We are Small, but Mighty. That is Our Advantage.
The Augustinian tradition is longstanding and seeks to instill the core values of truth, unity, and love, into everything that we do. Our size, our charism, and our community embrace every student as a whole person – socially, academically, and spiritually – in a supportive environment. We are small and mighty, and that is our advantage.
COVID/Safety Protocols
There are many unknowns right now, but we are committed to providing each student with a safe and effective learning environment. Austin’s small overall enrollment numbers and class sizes are a tremendous advantage during this unpredictable time. Our small class sizes make it possible to follow state guidelines with safe distancing standards, while continuing to provide the highest quality education for our students. We will work to balance the risks of spreading the virus with the intense need for our students’ social-emotional development, mental health, and academic growth. The development of the whole student remains our focus — Mind, Body, and Spirit!
Academics
At Austin, we encourage our students to go beyond STEM (the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), and into the STEAM – a holistic education philosophy that also embraces the arts. We offer a full academic curriculum for all learners with A.P. Dual Enrollment and CTE through Pankow Center. With a full fine and applied arts curriculum, students can experience the joy of creativity and appreciation of life’s beauty. The average class size is 18 students with a teacher to student ratio of 1:5. We are committed to providing a comprehensive college and career formation for each student. With a 100% acceptance rate, our students are encouraged to continue onto higher education after graduating from Austin. Our expanding clubs and sports programs empower students to be engaged, use their voice, and grow as leaders. From Robotics and Student Government to Forensics and Archery, there is something for everyone. This is how we define the comprehensive college preparatory, liberal arts education each student will receive at Austin Catholic High School.
Inclusive
At Austin, all faiths are welcome. We believe in God’s presence in all people. We acknowledge the seeds of salvation in all faiths with the fullness salvation manifested within the Catholic Church.
